One of the meanings for accounting establishes that accounting is the action of providing convincing explanation that reveals basic causes. There couldn’t be better definition for it. In terms of economy, accounting is an administration process of analyzing, classifying and interpretating the financials of an enterprise, which has to do with providing convincing explanations.

Someone who does this work is called Accountant. It is a task of an accountant to evaluate the bookkeepers looking for records that show if the company has progressed or not. This job reveals the possibilities or limitations for the future of the enterprise. It is also part of the work of an accountant to settle and establish plans in order to solve financial problems and avoid losses in terms of money.

be started before 1495 in Italy, when Luca Pacioli published a treatise about the art of bookkeeping. And the first English book about that was published in London in 1543 by John Gouge (or Gough).

In 1635, Richard Dafforne published a book about accountant. This book became very famous and studies about its publications show that it had several editions published during the 17th century, which leads us to believe that the issue was pretty appreciated by that time.

Modern Accounting

The economy develops and so does accounting. It is impossible to be an accounting of the 21st century and work as being still in the 17th century. Economies need more qualifications in order to solve the most modern problems faced by big enterprises.

There are some certifications that prove that someone is able to work as an accountant. These certifications are two:

Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), which is licensed by the state/province of the accountant’s residence to provide accounting services to the public.
- Certified Management Accountants (CMAs) that is a granted certificated provided by the Institute of Management Accountant (IMA), which the candidate takes a tough test in order to obtain the certificate.
